1977 Peugeot

This old Peugeot is a great candidate for restoring.
Most of the parts are original and in good condition and
the frame and forks are straight. The homemade
bull horn handlebars will have to be replaced.

The frame and forks are stripped of all their parts.

Every piece is cleaned, inspected, repaired or replaced as needed.

The components are broken down, cleaned and reassembled.
Here are the aluminum Mafac 'Racer' brakes.

The Simplex derailleurs are a joy to work with.
These 35 year old parts have really stood the test of time.

The cranks, pedals, shifters and brake levers.

With clean parts it is now a pleasure to build up the
bike. The frame and forks are washed with mild soap
and water and left in their original condition. The paint
chips are evidence of a long life of great adventures.

And here it is. Ready to do it all over again!
